Need some ideas for Constitution Week? Here are my 5 FAVORITE ideas that I implement in my classroom each year!

We the Kids Book
I love how this book works through the Preamble of the Constitution. I spend an entire 20 minutes just dissecting the Preamble. We make a brain map discussing what we think EACH part is. We use the pictures to help us and guide our thoughts. You can purchase this here on Amazon (Affiliate Link)
Passages
These past months I have been working super hard on distance learning materials. Since Constitution Week is in September- I decided to make a passage with questions for the Constitution. You can find it here!
Video
I know it’s not always the easiest thing displaying videos for students. Play this video as a way for the students to understand a little more about the Constitution. I also tend to show the School House Rock video about the Constitution.
Literacy in Focus’ Activity
Do you know Brooke from Literacy in Focus? I bought this last year and I LOVE it. It definitely helped streamline my ideas for this week. You can check it out on TeachersPayTeachers here!
Dive Into The Declaration of Independence
It always depresses me that the kids don’t know the difference between The Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. I use Google Form once again to let them read a passage and then answer questions.
Constitution Week
Constitution Week can be fun and not as demanding on your time. Trust me. You don’t need to spend HOURS searching for things for Constitution Week. You can quickly use these resources to help guide your week and make sure you cover those awesome Social Studies Standards!
These are some pretty amazing resources that you can use immediately in your classroom.
