In need of some new activities for multiplying decimals? If you find your students get tired of the same old practice, or you want to challenge their knowledge in new ways, it may be time to switch up your multiplying decimals practice activities.
When teaching multiplication of decimals, I personally like to use guided math. Guided math takes my students from the mini-lesson to independent practice in one fell swoop. During guided math, I can meet with students in small groups while other students complete centers or stations. Here are some multiplying decimals activities that you can use as centers, stations, or independent practice.
Activity 1: Spinner Game
Nothing beats a math game! This multiplying decimals game is a math spinner. Students will spin the spinner and solve the equation that it lands on. This adds a more exciting and hands-on element to simply answering questions on a worksheet. Get the game here!
Activity #2: Google Forms
I love using Google Forms in multiplying decimals centers because you can set it to automatically check students. If they solve an equation wrong, they can go back and resolve until they find the correct answer. Did I also mention it gives instant data and grades itself? Win-win!

Activity #3: Table Tents
Table tents are a really easy way to organize your stations or centers. On a folded piece of paper, there will be an equation to solve. This folded paper becomes the “tent” when you prop it onto the table. After students have solved the problem, they will move to the next station.

Activity #4: Google Slides
Google Slides are perfect for displaying skills in a variety of formats. If you need a quick station activity or something to do remotely, this is the perfect multiplying decimals activity.
