This is probably one of the GROSSEST blog posts I have created. However, if you are

Human Body Experiment
The Stomach
Okay- this one is GROSS. This is probably the grossest of them all. Take a bag and draw a stomach on it. It doesn’t have to be perfect. Add a cracker or two. Next, you will add some clear soda. Crunch up the cracker using the soda. This will explain to the students how

The Lungs
Having asthma myself, I have always been intrigued by the lungs. Why do they work somedays and somedays I am having 3-4 asthma attacks? Luckily my asthma is controlled 90% of the time so I am able to hone in on my triggers. Students LOVE to understand why my lungs breathe the way that they do. They want to experience breathing the way that I do. Don’t ask me me, because honestly, I have no idea.
Instead of me walking you step by step of how I create it, I figured it’d be better if I sent you the website that helps me every year. This video does a great job explaining how to create it. A tip that I have for you- don’t use “old” water bottles. I like the bottles that are bought from the store and emptied immediately. I try NOT to use one that was used by a kid because I feel like it gets “soft”.
Human Body Boom Cards
I love Boom Cards. I probably like it more than Google Slides because as the teacher- it’s graded for me. Score one for me. I also like the ease of Boom Cards. You can always create a set for your students. You can also purchase them in my store.

Boom cards are great for:
- Review before a test
- Sub Work
- Homework
- Science Center
- Morning Work
Human Body Science Notes
Notes are amazing. I love how students can refer back to these constantly. Not only do they refer to them, but they will use them throughout the entire year. I have been building these notes more and more because I see the benefits in my very own classroom. I can see the students are learning to take notes while also learning. The students are also using their auditory and visual learning styles. I have several notes in my TpT store that you can check out to use in your classroom immediately. Don’t worry- there’s an answer key included.
